In Australia, the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry has highlighted grossly unethical behaviour over an extended period by a range of businesses in the finance sector. A current Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety is suggesting unethical conduct in this sector. Evidence suggests that consumers are increasingly concerned about business ethics – with only 37% of consumers trusting business.
