Some 68% of women use social media to keep in touch with friends, family, and acquaintances. Women tend to have 8% more friends than men, and participate in 62% of online sharing. Some 80% of women share photographs, videos, and links via social media. On average, a female user updates her Facebook status 21 times per month.
