At a business breakfast late last year I was asked by a senior business man if I could help him set up a Facebook, Twitter and Linked IN account. I said I could, but asked why he would want to do this, what he would do with these accounts and what he intended to say using his newfound voice. He didn’t have an answer to these questions. He just ‘knew’ that social media was becoming more popular and he was concerned that he was not using it. He thought he was missing out on an opportunity. He was!! However, I suggested to him, that until he had an answer to each of my questions he should no use social media of any kind.
