Once upon a time, I was a member of the Australian Labor Party and I have been a long term supporter of the party. I find however that in 2013; as indeed has been the case for some years now, I cannot support the party directly. Equally however, I find that I cannot support any other political party in Australia, despite the fact that all of them have qualities and all of them contain men and women of vision, integrity and decency. When I look at the Australian Labor party I see an organisation being destroyed by factionalism and people who are more concerned about power than they are about working for the people they are supposed to represent.
