Of the women in this cohort, 25% have children, and of the men, 5.4% have children. Perhaps the most interesting finding here is that the number of same sex couples reported was up from 33,000 in 2011. In four years, the number of same sex couples reported has increased by 30%. Biological research tells us that between 10% and 11% of human beings are homosexual.
