I know that this question has been asked before, but that makes it no less valid to ask it again. Even if it has been answered before, I see little evidence of action being taken. I read last week that a recent study undertaken by the United Nations confirmed that if we wanted to feed everybody in the world, and raise the standard of living of every person above the planet to a level above the poverty line, it would cost just 5% of what the world currently spends on defence, or armaments. Now without reading the report cover to cover it may be considered difficult to know exactly what that means. What it does suggest however is that there is a problem with our priorities. a point reinforced by the fact that the United States spends more on the military in a months than the world spends on education…
