develop a social media presence This is the fifth of ten thoughts addressing the critical issue of personal branding. Jeff Bezos maintains that your brand is, ‘what people say about you when you are not in the room’. So, what do people say about you when you are not in the room, and what effect does this have on how they behave towards you and the business you work in? I still come across people in business, including salespeople, who see little value in social media beyond having a profile on LinkedIn and a Facebook page for communicating with friends. This is an absurd view in 2018.
