Research completed by Google in 2018found that up to 93% of Google searches involve a ‘local intent’. Another study found that 50% of people undertaking a ‘local search’ actually visit a store in the local area. A second study on this same subject found that 78% of people undertaking a ‘local search’ visit a store in the local area. Further, evidence suggests that 18% of people undertaking a ‘local search’ make a local purchase within 24 hours. This is just some of the data suggesting that there is a large proportion of the community who want to, or at the very least are prepared to, make a local purchase and undertake an online search with this intent.…
