I was listening to a debate this week on ABC 4 (about the only TV station worth watching) on the growing concerns about the advertising of junk food. I have earned a very good living over the years from advertising and related pursuits and in that time have formed a very firm view on this subject, and it is a view based entirely on ethics. In my humble view, it is unethical to actively promote junk food to children or alcohol to anyone. We should not be encouraging people, and in particular children, to consume things that are very bad to their health. To me, this is black and white. It is an entirely moral issue.
