In a world of diminishing trust credibility, being seen as measured and trusted is not ‘everything’ but it is increasingly, if not critical, in determining the success of a business or an individual. When is the last time you purchased from an individual or business you did not believe was making credible claims and statements. The fact is, without credibility be don’t believe and without belief, we don’t trust and without trust we don’t buy. Hand up if you believe that believe Kevin Rudd saying – “climate change is the greatest moral challenge of our age’ – enhanced his credibility. Hand up if you believe that Tony Abbott saying – ‘ stopping the boats is a national emergency’ – enhanced his credibility. Such over statement and hyperbole does nothing to enhance the credibility of these two me, their parties, the government or politicians in general. But politicians are not alone…
