Social media offers a great deal in terms of establishing, developing, and leveraging relationships through ongoing communication. At the same time, however, social media is not a silver bullet and it is rarely enough on its own, even in establishing a personal brand. Social media is useful for both talking and listening, but again it is rarely enough alone, even in establishing a personal brand. In the corporate or product arena, a limitation of social media is that it is restricted in how many people can be communicated with and the subsequent level of cut through.
