Ghandi once noted -‘be the change you want to see in the world’. Change is inevitable and constant. You cannot resist change. it happens with or without you. The only decisions we have to make relate to our response to that change. The biggest choice we have is whether we are going to try and resist it or engage with it. To my mind, engagement is the most productive response. Having said this my experience suggests that resistance is the most common response. The fact is, or seems to be, that human beings don’t, as a species, like change and many are determined to resist it. Some seem to try and resist it at almost any cost.
