This suggests to me that drugs being illegal does not make them unavailable. Indeed, all of the available evidence suggests that the so called ‘war on drugs ‘ has been an abject failure. I know no one that seriously believes that this ‘war’ waged by western governments, including the Australian government has been successful. Every day more people die from drug use. Every day the wealth of drug lords grow. Every time we hear of a drug haul by the authorities, we know in our hearts that it is only the tip of the iceberg.
