I have said many times that good marketing is first and foremost about having a good product. That in turn involves having a product that the target audience can believe in, have confidence in and will willingly want to buy. The way I see it, the product offering of all major political parties in Western Australia during the current state election is not one that people want to buy. I haven’t spoken to anyone or read anything that suggests anyone or any group of people, really want to buy what the major political parties in Western Australia are selling. I think the standard of communication from all political parties is well below average and indeed well below that utilised in previous years.
