3 keys to brand loyalty Much has been written about the death of brand loyalty. I would argue however that brand loyalty is alive and well. Brand loyalty is important because it costs some 5 times more to acquire a new client than generate repeat sales from loyal customers. There is also a greater likelihood of referral and higher margins. Brand loyalty can significantly increase profitability and as such reports of its decline are worrying. But is brand loyalty really in decline, and if so, why? Research suggests that less than 30% of people are brand loyal. Worse still research suggests that some 77% of people say they are not attracted to brand loyalty, and therefore have no desire to be brand loyal.
