There has been a lot written recently about the future of television and in particular free to air television. I recently wrote an article questioning the future of Seven West Media following the recent losses from Channel 7 and the less than optimal performance of the West Australian. Shortly after this article Seven West announced its move into video streaming. The landscape now involves: Seven (with Foxtel) teaming up with Presto Nine (with Fairfax) teaming up with Stan 10 likely to team up with Netflix or Quickflix Netflix is about to launch in Australia and Quickflix has been around for a while. All of these streaming services own the rights to Hollywood and other libraries.
